About David Zinman

David Zinman is one of the world’s leading and most respected conductors, whose passion for music, dedication to furthering the careers of young musicians, and as an orchestra builder, makes ‘Music a Better World’.

Most recently David has extended his contract with the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, where, since 1995 as conductor and music director, he has raised the standard of the orchestra to an international level. During his career he has made an extensive number of recordings with varied orchestras encompassing a wide repertoire.

He is Artistic Director of the Aspen Music Festival, where he created the International Conducting Academy. He has inspired a number of innovative ideas in Zurich, including the famous ‘Tonhalle Late’ series, a Conductor’s course in Zurich in April, and most notably the famous recordings he has made for Sony which have received superb critical acclaim.

Zinman International Masterclass Zurich

David Zinman will hold an international conducting course in Europe. Eight young conductors will study demanding repertoire, working with the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich.
