DAVID ZINMAN will replace Mariss Jansons conducting the Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam, Turin and Cologne 9/10/11 June. David Zinman feels extremely at home in Holland where he spent many years, and where In 1964 he became one of the youngest conductors of the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra in Amsterdam where he stayed until 1977.
David Zinman will hold an international conducting course in Europe. Eight young conductors will study demanding repertoire, working with the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich.
The climax for the participants will be a lunchtime concert on 8 April 2010.
